Overall, this role will be responsible liaise with contracted local and interstate truckers the required of trucks to be utilized for the daily pick-up, deliveries, transshipments and interstate movements. Also to provide assistant to general operational support to internal team. The role require to execute the below tasks and initiative: Ocean freight Transport Planner AFR and ROA Transport Backup ISO documentation To reply and response on a daily basis all related emails from internal and external customers and to published reports as required. To response to all related issues pertaining to Transport immediately. To perform any other duties as assigned by immediate superior. To report regularly to the immediate superior on the performance of the area of responsibilities. To ensure all documents related to these movements are accounted for and passed over to the respective departments on a timely. To update all daily milestones related to Transport Section on a timely basis in CW1 Prepare internal duty roaster and leave planning (calendar) Ezyhaul maintenance OI/CCM responsiveness for OFR and backup for AFR/ROA CA plan and PRS template preparation Data reporting Evaluation on vendor performance & meeting with vendors. Perform analysis for cost-effectiveness based on initiatives applied (before and after) To identify new and possible initiatives in line with cost saving Invoice & Payment monitoring EDM for POD upload (AFR backup & OFR). SLA maintenance Issue log compilation on monthly basis. POD / APT monitoring on daily basis. Weekly and monthly KPI monitoring for AFR & OFR. Cargo Wise Monitoring Document Monitoring ' EDM & CW ESP ( Electronic Supplier Portal ) Preparation of slides for Branch Meeting To be successful in this role, we are expecting the below: Posses Diploma/ Bachelor Degree in Logistic Management & Transportation or any equivalent academic background. Minimum 2 year working experience in the freight forwarding business. Exposure to Freight Forwarding will be added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft Outlook Skills require : Initiative - Problem solver and willing to take more responsibility Analytical (attentive to details) Customer Orientation Planning and Organizing (able to Multitasking) Attribute require : Work Independently (minimal supervision) Positive Mindset (able adapt to system changes) Fast learner & Proactive Good self disciplinary Work under pressure Fluency in conversing and writing in English is require as this position will interact with clients and aboard colleagues. This position will be based at our Penang Branch, Bayan Lepas.
