KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate all land & wayleave work related activities for the Baleh Hydroelectric Project and other hydro projects, as well as the Baleh-Mapai 500kV Transmission Line Project in an efficient & effective manner.
  • Manage Land and Wayleave commitments to the SEB Information Centre in Kapit.
  • Liaise with all relevant authorities and stakeholders on wayleave matters affected by SEB\'s project.
  • Responsible for the stakeholder initiatives and engagements for project related matters.
  • Manage the compensation process for the affected landowners/claimants and to submit detailed report of compensation payments.
  • Responsible to submit monthly report for Land & Wayleave activities for the Baleh Hydroelectric Project and other hydro projects.
SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure, and the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
  • Legal requirements of the job (Electricity Ordinance, Sarawak Land Code)
  • Level of acceptance from the affected members of the public (land owners/claimants)
  • Level of cooperation from contractors (surveyors / constructors)
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferably a Degree in any of the Social Science disciplines from a recognised institutions or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience; experience in Administrative duties and engagement with the public is an added advantage.
SKILLS:
  • Possess strong leadership skill with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of local custom and cultures.
  • Able to work independently and a good team player.
  • Computer Literate - Microsoft Words, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Physically fit for rough terrain at site.
  • Ability to speak local dialects and strong knowledge of local customs and adat.
  • Ability to contribute as team member & cooperative.
  • Good social network.
