KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES;
1. Focus on adding values & competitive edge in business growth strategies, performance management and strategic planning decisions.
2. Understanding the key value drivers of business and financial performances to drive and optimise values.
3. Drive the business planning process, with a clear value focus and understanding of lifecycle outlook and link this to the performance targets. Enable and assure delivery of credible plans and forecasts.
4. Ensure that the organization complies with contractual obligations as well as state and federal regulations.
5. Provide support to secure agreements and resolutions on commercial issues, challenges and disputes with external parties (consortium, stakeholders) from commercial framing, options analysis, stakeholder mapping and engagements through to negotiations and closures.
6. Enhance the development and implementation of consistency and best practices for negotiations of commercial terms and conditions to be incorporated into contracts.
7. Support growth opportunities in terms of new ventures and/or acquisition/divestment of assets.

• Significant commercial skills, creative approach to problem resolution, and ability to identify and position for value creation;
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to work to deadlines, prioritize and run with multiple projects at any one time.
• Proactive and takes initiative in identifying and driving improvements in the commercial and financial areas.
• Shows independence, assertiveness and courage in addressing difficult issues in a constructive manner.
• Self-motivated with an ability to contribute individually (work with minimal supervision).
• Good inter-personal skills in order to network effectively across internal business interfaces and with staff of different disciplines and seniority levels.
• Ability to work in and across a multi-cultural environment in economic and social transition with many complexities and uncertainties, and with political and governmental and other non-commercial counter parties.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE;

• A degree in Engineering, Law, Accounting or Economics s preferred, though other degrees will be considered.
• 2-4 years industry experience, preferably in the utilities and resources business.
• Knowledgeable in the understanding of regulated businesses from commercial and regulatory viewpoints.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
