KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor the environmental performance and legal compliance to ensure Company\'s legal compliance with EQA 1974 and SEB\'s Environmental Policy.
2. Liaise with Environmental related Authorities such as Department of Environment (DOE), Natural Resources & Environment Board (NREB) concerning any work-related matters.
3. Lead Scheduled Waste Management including notification, collection, segregation, storage, labeling, documentation and disposal in accordance with EQ(SW) regulations 2005.
4. Lead continual improvement of EMS ISO 14001 and implementation of Guided Self-Regulation (GSR) and to submit Environmental Mainstreaming Tools report to DOE.
5. Ensure CEMS equipment and the pollutants are continuously monitored abiding the requirement under CAR 2014 & ensuring all reporting are submitted timely to DOE.
6. Prepare, manage and execute Contractual Works and Services related to Env. matters such as POST EIA Monitoring, CEMS Servicing and Maintenance, Disposal of Scheduled Waste.
7. Promote environmental awareness and arrange/conduct in house training on environmental (Env Awareness, Scheduled Waste Management & Chemical Spill Control, Procedure & Drills)
8. Investigate, coordinate and report any environmental related accident/incident, near misses or environmental disease at the workplace.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Science or Management from Universities or Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by the Company.
  • More than 1-3 years of working experience related to environmental compliance / management.
  • Attended Environmental related courses and seminars.
SKILLS:
  • Able to understand the principles adopted in the formulation of the EQA including control of pollution at source, prevention and compliance and the consequences for failure to adhere or implementing control measures. This includes having knowledge on discharging or emitting wastes, noise as pollution, polluting soil or surface land and scheduled wastes management.
  • Able to understand the principles adopted in the formulation of the Environment Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulation 2005 including implementation of Scheduled Wastes Management. To execute all activities in accordance to existing external and internal Policy, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and related Work Instruction (WI).
  • Able to identify Environmental Pollution Control and prevention.
  • To maintain the Environment Documentation according to the standards and established procedures of the EMS ISO 1400 COMPETENCIES
  • Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM).
  • Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment System (CePIETSO).
  • Certified Internal Auditor EMS ISO 14001.
  • Certified Train the Trainer (TTT).
