KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Interconnection

• Monitor the generator's performance.
• Coordination on spinning reserve sharing via interconnection.
• Coordinate and support activities related to regional cooperation with regards to interconnection and power trading between utilities/countries.
• Assist in managing the power import/export to interconnected parties over the total time period agreed in the Power Exchange Agreement.
• Assist in resources management routine activities, e.g. analysis on technical aspects of new power agreements and etc.

CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• Understanding overall business strategy & direction.
• Manage stakeholders' expectation and conflicts in a complex stakeholder environment and address key issues that arise.
• Significant analytical skills related to simulations, planning and troubleshooting.
• Building Effective Teams - Blends people into teams, fosters team spirits and collaboration within team and capitalizes on the strengths of all members.
• Decision Making - Ensures that decisions are made based on good engineering judgment as well as ethics and values of the organization in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• Having MSc/Meng in related field and Professional Engineer is an added advantage.
• Experience in electrical utility or similar industry is an added advantage.
• Experience in energy planning is an added advantage.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
