Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Maintenance Lead to oversee our Sarawak Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for ensuring our restaurant operations run seamlessly by leading technical teams, managing specialized contractors, and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards across all outlets.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Leadership & People Management



Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor the performance and productivity of the maintenance team. Supervise and coach maintenance technicians to ensure all tasks are executed safely and effectively. Foster a culture of discipline, honesty, and continuous improvement.

2. Maintenance & Operational Support



Oversee all maintenance work to ensure it meets safety standards, quality expectations, and operational requirements. Provide timely support to restaurant teams for critical maintenance issues (Kitchen equipment, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems). Coordinate contractors for specialized repairs, renovations, equipment installations, and store restoration works.

Emergency Response:

Respond to and attend to restaurant breakdown calls, including those after office hours or on weekends when necessary.

3. Inventory & Vendor Management



Manage critical spare parts and tool inventories to ensure optimal stock levels based on consumption trends. Source quotations and negotiate with contractors/suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and management approval. Strictly monitor materials to prevent wastage, loss, or misuse of company assets.

4. Compliance & Administration



Ensure all facilities and operations comply with

YUM! standards

and local regulatory requirements (

Halal, DOSH, DOE, Local Council

, etc.). Maintain the maintenance fleet, ensuring all vans pass regular

PUSPAKOM

inspections and adhere to road safety laws. Manage all maintenance-related paperwork, including Memos, PRs, POs, invoices, and work logs. Communicate effectively with Area Coaches (AC) and Restaurant General Managers (RGM) regarding issues highlighted during ROCC audits.

Candidate Requirements & Qualities



Education & Experience:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering with 2-3 years of experience in maintenance (F&B, Retail, or Hospitality preferred).

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment, cold rooms, and multi-outlet field service maintenance.

Leadership & Communication:

Natural leadership qualities with the ability to coach a team. Must be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal).

Resilience:

Physically fit and mentally resilient; able to manage time efficiently and handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Integrity:

A proactive team player with a high level of discipline and a positive attitude toward challenges.

Logistics:

Must possess a valid Class D license (

GDL license highly preferred

). Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours (weekends/public holidays) as required by the nature of the business.

Demak Laut Warehouse.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
