  • Support daily business operations with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to understanding and optimising key value drivers of business and financial performance and collaborate with senior management to drive value creation and excellence.
  • Assist in the business planning process, ensuring a clear understanding of lifecycle outlook and aligning with performance targets (Contribute to the delivery of credible plans and forecasts).
  • Assist in ensuring the organisation\'s compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support in addressing commercial challenges, conducting basic commercial analysis, and contributing to effective solutions.
  • Learn and contribute to the development and implementation of consistency and best practices for negotiating commercial terms and conditions.
  • Support senior management in exploring growth opportunities, such as new ventures and acquisitions.
  • Assist in special projects or assignments as required, gaining exposure to various aspects of business operations.
CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Commercial Acumen: Build and develop commercial skills, fostering creative problem-solving abilities and learning to identify and create value.
  • Time Management: Develop time management skills in a fast-paced environment, learning to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks, and assist with multiple projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Develop basic analytical skills to understand market trends, competitors, and internal processes, contributing to decision-making and problem-solving under guidance.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Gain exposure to negotiation and contract management skills, supporting more experienced team members in dealing with deals, contracts, and agreements.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • A degree in Law, Engineering, Accounting, or Economics is preferred, although other degrees will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in the utilities/energy or resources business.
  • Knowledgeable in the understanding of regulated businesses from commercial and regulatory viewpoints.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Specific skills and knowledge related to the job\'s technical aspects, such as commercial analysis, negotiation, business planning, compliance, and best practices in negotiations.
BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS:
  • Personal qualities and attributes necessary for effective performance in the role, including a proactive approach, assertiveness, time management, self-motivation, interpersonal skills, and cultural adaptability.
