Executive Pastry Chef Are you a talented and hard-working Pastry Chef looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to advance your career and showcase your skills? We are seeking a skilled and creative pastry chef looking to fulfil and vital role in our kitchen. You must have proven experience creating delicious pastries, desserts and baked goods and will work with our team to create new dessert items that compliment and enhance our menu. The ability to work quickly and meticulously under pressure is a must. Job Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes. \xe2\x80\xa2Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends. \xe2\x80\xa2Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting. \xe2\x80\xa2Manage stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget. \xe2\x80\xa2Inspect quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking. \xe2\x80\xa2Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently. \xe2\x80\xa2Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel. \xe2\x80\xa2Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards. \xe2\x80\xa2Able to perform additional duties as requested by the Management. Job Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2Posses at least certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field. \xe2\x80\xa2Proven experience as a senior Pastry Chef or relevant role. \xe2\x80\xa2Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills. \xe2\x80\xa2Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products. \xe2\x80\xa2Basic math and computer skills. \xe2\x80\xa2Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfil orders, and create amazing baked goods. \xe2\x80\xa2Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability. \xe2\x80\xa2Ability to work in hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods. \xe2\x80\xa2In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and baking techniques and nutrition.
