Job Description

We are a metal stamping manufacturing company seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive QA to join our dynamic team at Automev Global Sdn Bhd. This full-time role is based in Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor.

In line with our expansion, we're looking for candidate that able to lead new project development activities from tooling design to mass production readiness. Responsible for die development, stamping process setup, and technical coordination to ensure product quality and process stability in accordance with automotive standards.

Responsibility:

Lead and manage new project introduction, from drawing review to PPAP submission. Coordinate die design, fabrication, and tryout with internal Tooling and external suppliers. Review part and die drawings for manufacturability and stamping feasibility. Establish and optimize stamping process parameters for new dies. Support troubleshooting of die and part quality issues (burr, dent, wrinkle, mismatch, etc.). Liaise with customer and supplier for technical clarification and approval. Prepare and maintain project documentation (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, die history). Support continuous improvement and cost reduction activities related to tooling and process. Monitor existing die performance and coordinate corrective actions for recurring problems. Review die repair history and propose design or structure improvement to enhance life and quality. Optimize stamping process parameters and setup conditions for productivity and scrap reduction. Handle customer or internal Engineering Change Request (ECR/ECN) -- evaluate impact, coordinate die modification, and validate parts. Support QA and Production in resolving internal or customer quality issues. Verify die and part condition after maintenance or modification before release to production. Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen, cost reduction, ). Maintain and update technical documentation (Control Plan, PFMEA, die drawing, die history).

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Tooling Engineering. Minimum 3 years' experience in

automotive metal stamping

. Strong knowledge of die structure, tryout process, and stamping operations. Familiar with APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 requirements. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D - AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks). Hands-on, analytical, and proactive in problem solving. Good communication and coordination skills.

Added Advantage:

Experience with progressive or transfer dies. Familiarity with dimensional verification (CMM/FARO Arm). Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, or improvement methods.
