Maintains established Human Resources policies and procedures on disciplinary standards. Keeps abreast of the latest developments on staff related issues, recommend and/or initiates changes as deemed necessary.
Advises and assists staff from all level with the interpretation and application of Human Resource policies and procedures, legal compliance, grievances, discipline, breach of contract and termination issues.
Facilitates discussions and resolution of issues/disputes between management and staff for grievance mediation and identifying and referring complex and sensitive issues with legal implications to Head, Human Resources.
Provides education and consultations to all front line managers on proper documentation and legal requirements for disciplinary actions on misconduct and all other actions that may lead to termination.
Coordinate the domestic inquiries.
Counsels staff on misconduct.
Fosters harmonious employee relations within the Group.
Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records for Employee Industrial Relation.
Ensure that all employees' matters and grievances pertaining to grievances and disputes are handled confidentially, professionally, courteously and efficiently.
Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of monthly reports or any other reports as required from time to time.
Establishes and updates operating standards and procedures and ensures strict adherence by staff.
Coordinates and/or conducts training to front line managers/supervisors in areas of Industrial Relations and employment related issues as and when required.
Help to draft and maintains SOP in matters relating to employee relations.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned under employee relations or Industrial Relations to ensure the smooth running of this division.
Training & Development
Assist and participate in staff engagement activities.
Asisst in on-boarding and induction briefing.
Assist in related duties and tasks assigned related to training and development and ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time in Group Human Resource.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in HRM or Legal.
Minimum 2 years working experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
