We are seeking suitably qualified candidates to apply for Executive position in Student Recruitment (Local) at University of Nottingham Malaysia.

The post-holder is expected to promote the University of Nottingham Malaysia for students in Malaysia. The post will represent the University of Nottingham Malaysia at higher education events, give talks in national and international schools and colleges and assist with the organisation of the University's Open Days and post-application visits, taster days and campus visits. The post-holder will account manage a number of schools, and will be responsible for growing and maintaining relationships which will lead to increased applications and enrolments to the University. The post-holder will spend considerable periods of time away from the office, travelling across Malaysia to recruit students to the University.

Job Requirements:

• Help to implement the student recruitment strategy for the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with schools and colleges that lead to recruitment of students to the University.
• Develop and maintain links and relationships with student recruitment agents to promote higher education courses at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and to provide application advice.
• Give talks or seminars on studying at UNM in schools and colleges as required, on issues relating to admissions, course selection and student life.
• Frequently attend recruitment events across Malaysia.
• Develop and deliver a programme of targeted on-campus recruitment activities for schools and colleges.
• This will include subject specific taster class, campus tour and workshops throughout the year.
• Work closely with members from the Student Recruitment, Marketing, Faculties and other administrative offices.
• Identify and train student ambassadors to assist in recruitment activities.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Student Recruitment.

Job Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level
• Interest in, and knowledge of current issues in the higher education sector
• Experience and proven ability of working young people
• Experience of developing and delivering events and organising group activities
• Experience in developing innovative solutions that meet or exceed targets
• An excellent ability to communicate effectively with various individuals and groups, including senior leaders
• A proven ability to deal with a varied and complex workload, including the ability to organise your own workload, prioritising a variety of tasks while working under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Ability to use all Microsoft Office packages
• Experience of delivering engaging, persuasive presentations
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to represent the University of Nottingham Malaysia with enthusiasm and integrity to applicants and student recruitment agents as well to external organisations
• Self-motivated to work independently without close supervision, using own initiative to resolve problems
• A positive, energetic attitude
• A 'can do' approach to work and a strong sense of commitment
• Willingness to spend periods away from home and to work unsociable hours (evenings and weekends) as required
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia
