RoleDuties & Responsibilities
Training Delivery:
Conduct Sessions: Lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars in an engaging and effective manner.
Facilitate Learning: Use various instructional techniques and technologies to deliver content, including lectures, interactive activities, and role-playing.Needs Assessment:
Identify Training Needs: Collaborate with department heads and employees to identify skill gaps and training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations.
Analyze Data: Use assessment results and feedback to tailor training programs to address identified gaps.Evaluation and Improvement:
Assess Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback forms, and performance metrics.
Continuous Improvement: Use evaluation results to make improvements to training content and delivery methods.Support and Coaching:
Provide Guidance: Offer support and coaching to trainees to reinforce learning and assist with any challenges faced during or after training.
Mentor Employees: Act as a mentor to new hires or employees undergoing skill development.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, progress, and feedback.
Prepare Reports: Generate reports on training outcomes, including success rates and areas needing improvement.Collaboration and Communication:
Work with Teams: Collaborate with other trainers, HR professionals, and department managers to ensure training aligns with organizational goals and needs.
Communicate Updates: Keep stakeholders informed about training programs, schedules, and changes.Technology Utilization:
Use Training Tools: Leverage training software, tools, and technologies to enhance the training experience.
Stay Current: Keep abreast of emerging trends in training and development to incorporate best practices into programs.Compliance and Standards:
Follow Regulations: Ensure training programs comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
Maintain Certifications: Keep relevant certifications up-to-date and ensure that training programs meet certification requirements.Feedback Collection:
Gather Input: Collect feedback from participants regarding the effectiveness of training and make adjustments as necessary.
Act on Feedback: Use feedback to improve the quality and relevance of training programs.Additional Responsibilities:
Travel: Depending on the role, travel to different locations within the Johor Region and out station may be required.
Special Projects: Participate in or lead special projects related to training and development as needed.Job Requirements
Educational Background
Diploma or Degree: Start with a relevant undergraduate degree, such as Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field. This provides foundational knowledge in food processing, safety, quality control, and more.Master\'s Degree (Optional): Advanced studies can deepen expertise in specialized areas like food microbiology, food chemistry, or food biotechnology.2. Practical Experience
Internships: Engage in internships during or after your studies. Internships provide hands-on experience in food processing plants, research labs, or food safety departments. They offer exposure to real-world applications of food technology principles.Co-op Programs: Participate in cooperative education programs that combine academic learning with practical work experience in food technology.Entry-Level Positions: Start with roles such as Food Technologist, Quality Assurance Technician, or Process Technician. These positions offer practical experience in day-to-day food production and quality control tasks.3. Specialized Training
Certifications: Obtain certifications relevant to food technology, such as:Certified Food Scientist (CFS): Offered by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
HACCP Certification: For expertise in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
GMP Certification: For Good Manufacturing Practices.
