Overview

Our transaction services team, segregated into 3 sub teams \xe2\x80\x93 financial, commercial and post-acquisition support, recognises the complexities of business deals and assists clients in the evaluation of business opportunities and the completion of successful transactions. You, as part of our team of experienced professionals will be able to combine your commercial and financial experience as well as your depth of industry knowledge to meet our clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs, no matter if a transaction requires pre-acquisition or post-acquisition assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis and gather information for transaction services engagements.
  • Prepare due diligence working papers and assist senior team members and engagement director in preparation of client deliverables.
  • Assist in the construction of financial model for financial modelling engagements.
  • Work with seniors to conduct desktop research and background analysis of prospective target companies.
  • Provide assistance in client / engagement acceptances process and prepare relevant documentation to meet and comply with BDO\xe2\x80\x99s client / engagement acceptances policies.
Education and professional skills / knowledge

Experience & Education:
  • A recognised degree in Finance, Accounting and/or a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in an audit or a transaction advisory environment. Financial modelling experience is highly regarded.
  • General understanding and working knowledge of International/Malaysian Financial Reporting standards.
Other skills
  • Solid grasp of numerals, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and mastery of Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
  • A strong team player with initiative and good interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English. Multi-lingual candidates with professional proficiency of other commercial languages such as Mandarin will be an added advantage.
