Position Title: Facilities and Sustainability Engineer/Manager

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: RM5,000 - RM9,000

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Facilities and Sustainability Manager to oversee all building and sustainability related activities. To ensures a safe, secure and well-maintained facility that meets environment, health, and security standards.

Objectives

\xc2\xb7 Manage and drive the UTM Sustainability projects.

\xc2\xb7 Develop progress report on the energy reduction program.

\xc2\xb7 Meet the site sustainability target as per OKR.

\xc2\xb7 Oversee the facilities function.

Main Role

\xc2\xb7 To promote energy efficiency and energy conservation and assist in managing energy cost by looking into air compressor/ aircon usage or key significant consumption.

\xc2\xb7 Project Management, coordinate with all the relevant departments and ensure that all deliverables meet the set expectations and deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Promote energy saving awareness with campaign/activities.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in energy survey/audit and follow-up on corrective actions.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with Malaysia energy regulation.

\xc2\xb7 Keep up to date with industry standard best practice.

\xc2\xb7 Develop reports or presentations to communicate and raise awareness on effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Set organizational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.

\xc2\xb7 Oversees building and grounds maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.

\xc2\xb7 Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.

\xc2\xb7 Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.

\xc2\xb7 Manages and reviews service contracts e.g. Pest Control, Cleaner agreement renewal etc.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for sanitation aspects of plant, warehouse, building & surrounding grounds including pest control program for plant.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in Customer Audits and follow-up on corrective actions.

\xc2\xb7 Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.

\xc2\xb7 Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility and environmental management.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with Malaysia regulations, and assist with energy management

\xc2\xb7 Implement and monitor environmental strategies to promote sustainable development. Your wide remit means you\'ll review the whole operation, carrying out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented.

\xc2\xb7 Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues

\xc2\xb7 Write environmental reports, assuming lead responsibility in the company

\xc2\xb7 To handle all correspondence and administration of license application, ensure compliance and approval from relevant authorities.

\xc2\xb7 Establishes liaison with local Government bodies and all-important Municipal Emergency Services i.e. MBIP, Bomba, DOSH, and etc.

Requirement

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience

\xc2\xb7 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of waste water treatment plant, chemicals, clean room and warehouse facilities maintenance and safety.

\xc2\xb7 With ISO 14001 Certification
