Job Description


As the Sourcing Lead for Facilities & Engineering equipment, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing process from business request to requirements gathering, market research and managing RFP process, to price & contract negotiation and contract administration tasks. You must have sourced for heavy engineering equipment, be familiar with the oil & gas pricing structure and t&cs.

Operating within an established global process framework, this position will play a key role in enhancing the Service Delivery Model related to how our client oversees expenses through third-party contracts, aiming to maximize value. This is an individual contributor role where you will assist different business units in executing diverse activities related to sourcing, contracting, and managing supplier performance within the Facilities and Engineered Equipment category.

  • Receive, execute and continuously manage multiple Sourcing and Contracting project requests via SAP Ariba & Salesforce.
  • Collect and assess market intelligence data regularly for the designated categories and regions, examining market and industry conditions to shape sourcing strategies and decisions.
  • Formulate sourcing strategies by considering category demand, requests, market and supplier conditions, Scope of Work, etc., and oversee the approval process, adhering to both Regional and Global Governance requirements.
  • Conduct screening/prequalification of suppliers and oversee/manage the process status according to guidelines.
  • Manage the supplier selection process including initiating cases and collaborating with the Event Management team to manage sourcing projects and events (RFI/RFP/Reverse Auctions) using the available tools and systems.
  • Develop contract content following templates & requirements, negotiate contract terms, manage contract execution/signature process, and escalate where necessary.
Own the entire sourcing process for a specific category in the APAC region|Get your foot-in-the-door at a large oil & gas, renewable energy company
  • The preferred candidate possesses a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in End-to-End sourcing and contracting of services and commodities, along with robust commercial insight and effective communication skills (both oral and written in English).
  • Demonstrated expertise and at least 2-3 years of applicable experience in the Facilities and Engineered Equipment category or similar categories.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills with ability to manage global stakeholders\' expectation.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba Source-to-Pay and Salesforce is ideal.
  • Extensive experience within the oil and gas industry is advantageous.
We are currently working with a prominent company in the oil & gas and renewable energy sector, a global leader committed to shaping the future of energy. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, our client operates a Shared Service Centre that plays a key role in supporting their mission.This is a 6 + 6 months contract role with high chance of conversion to permanent.

The incumbent is on extended leave which is why my client requires someone on an intiial 6 months contract which could easily be extended for another 6 months or converted to permanent should that person not return.
  • Contract Duration: Initial 6 months contract with 6 months extension option (possible to convert to perm).
  • Office Location: Bangsar South
  • Working Hours: 11am - 8pm
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid, 2 days work-from-home
