Client Background: MNC Company Industry : Manufacturing Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor Headcount: 1 Position Title: Facilities and Sustainability Engineer/Manager Tenure: Permanent Remuneration: RM5,000 - RM9,000 Responsibilities Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Facilities and Sustainability Manager to oversee all building and sustainability related activities. To ensures a safe, secure and well-maintained facility that meets environment, health, and security standards. Objectives . Manage and drive the UTM Sustainability projects. . Develop progress report on the energy reduction program. . Meet the site sustainability target as per OKR. . Oversee the facilities function. Main Role . To promote energy efficiency and energy conservation and assist in managing energy cost by looking into air compressor/ aircon usage or key significant consumption. . Project Management, coordinate with all the relevant departments and ensure that all deliverables meet the set expectations and deadlines. . Promote energy saving awareness with campaign/activities. . Assist in energy survey/audit and follow-up on corrective actions. . Ensure compliance with Malaysia energy regulation. . Keep up to date with industry standard best practice. . Develop reports or presentations to communicate and raise awareness on effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. . Set organizational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery. . Oversees building and grounds maintenance. . Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. . Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures. . Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment. . Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively. . Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications. . Manages and reviews service contracts e.g. Pest Control, Cleaner agreement renewal etc. . Responsible for sanitation aspects of plant, warehouse, building & surrounding grounds including pest control program for plant. . Assist in Customer Audits and follow-up on corrective actions. . Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees. . Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility and environmental management. . Ensure compliance with Malaysia regulations, and assist with energy management . Implement and monitor environmental strategies to promote sustainable development. Your wide remit means you\'ll review the whole operation, carrying out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented. . Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues . Write environmental reports, assuming lead responsibility in the company . To handle all correspondence and administration of license application, ensure compliance and approval from relevant authorities. . Establishes liaison with local Government bodies and all-important Municipal Emergency Services i.e. MBIP, Bomba, DOSH, and etc. Requirement . Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience . 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions . Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations . Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management . Knowledge of waste water treatment plant, chemicals, clean room and warehouse facilities maintenance and safety. . With ISO 14001 Certification
