FunctionThe Facility Engineer (Electrical) cum Chargeman A4 is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all electrical systems within the facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. This role combines technical expertise in electrical engineering with the responsibilities of a certified Chargeman A4, focusing on the safe operation and maintenance of electrical installations.ResponsibleElectrical Systems Management

• Plan, design, and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Chargeman Duties

• Perform duties as a certified Chargeman A4, including monitoring and managing high voltage electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations and other relevant standards.
• Respond to electrical emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Safety and compliance

• Develop and enforce electrical safety procedures and policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure all electrical work complies with statutory regulations, including the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and related regulations.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with electrical safety and energy efficiency standards.

Documentation and reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, maintenance activities, and inspections.
• Prepare and present reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status

Project Management

• Manage electrical projects from conception through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Technical Support and Training

• Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team and other departments.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on electrical safety, energy management, and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Chargeman A4 registration or equivalent certification/license is required
• Proven 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a facilities or construction environment.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
