Job Responsibilities
Act as the shift leader and support the Supervisor in managing daily operations and overseeing the service team on the floor.
Conduct pre-opening checks to ensure tables are properly set, cutlery is polished, condiments are replenished, and buffet areas are ready for service.
Allocate service stations to F&B Assistants and ensure proper table coverage.
Assist with guest seating, present menus, and take food & beverage orders when required.
Verify all order slips before sending to the kitchen and ensure correct items are served to the correct guests.
Monitor the sequence of service, ensuring timely clearing, beverage refills, and upselling of menu items.
Guide and support junior staff during service; correct errors promptly and discreetly.
Handle minor guest requests or complaints and escalate issues to the Supervisor when necessary.
Conduct side-duty checks (condiments, cutlery, glass polishing, etc.) before and after service.
Supervise banquet/event setups: assign tasks, check table layouts, and ensure smooth service flow during functions.
Prepare simple reports/logbook entries on shift issues, guest feedback, and operational needs for Supervisor/Executive review.
Record daily sales, upselling achievements, and guest counts to support P&L tracking.
Monitor proper handling of food & beverage items to reduce wastage and breakage.
Report discrepancies in sales postings, discounts, or complimentary items to the Supervisor.
Ensure accurate side-duty stock counts (linen, glassware, condiments) for monthly cost tracking.
Provide monthly feedback on service-related costs such as breakage or staff meal wastage.

Requirements
Certificate in Hospitality/Hotel Management or related field.
Minimum
1 year experience as F&B Captain or senior F&B Assistant
.
Experience in the
hotel industry is an added advantage
.
Fluent in
Bahasa Malaysia and English
.
Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
