Job Purpose

The storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of a restaurant's storeroom, performing activities such as stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, purchasing, and related duties as required.

Main Responsibilities

Daily Ordering & Receiving

- Place daily orders with suppliers before the cut-off time and receive goods, ensuring they match the purchase orders.

Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock movements, and ensure stock levels are within set minimum and maximum limits.

Discrepancy Handling

- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in deliveries or stock records promptly.

Reporting & Documentation

- Submit accurate inventory and asset reports on time and ensure all documentation is up to date.

Supplier & Store Coordination

- Manage supplier relationships ethically, execute purchase orders correctly, and handle packing, labeling, and restocking duties.

Requirement

Language: Must be proficient in English and Mandarin, written, read and spoken Knowledge: Working knowledge of storekeeping, general warehousing, and familiarity with issuing, stocking, ordering and receiving parts/supplies, and understanding of cycle counts on inventory. Energetic: The job of a storekeeper requires some physical labor, so it is vital that they can lift 20kg unaided Computer skill: Applicants are required to have some computer skills to work with computerized inventory system and data entry skills in Microsoft Excel to update the inventory control system Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with the team and the vendors.
