Staff and operations management
Supervise and train front-of-house (servers, hosts) and kitchen staff to ensure high service and food quality standards.
Create staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for each shift.
Oversee daily opening and closing procedures for the restaurant.
Resolve any staff issues and address communication problems between departments.
Customer service and satisfaction
Monitor the dining room to ensure excellent customer service.
Address customer complaints and special requests promptly and effectively.
Ensure customers have a positive dining experience to maintain brand reputation.
Operational and financial duties
Manage and monitor daily sales, including cash and credit card transactions.
Perform cash reconciliation and prepare daily sales reports.
Manage inventory for front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.
Ensure smooth order flow between the kitchen and the dining area.
Health, safety, and compliance
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Inspect the kitchen and staff for cleanliness and adherence to standards.
Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures are followed
