The roleThe Finance and Administration Officer is a key support role in ensuring proper functioning of finance for our entities throughout the world.Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager - APAC, you will primarily focus on the maintenance of the accounts payable system, ensuring the correct coding of invoices and expense claims (including tax allocations) across several international markets.This newly created role will also support the people and culture and admin departments for Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines. Assisting with the onboarding of new employees and management of office expenses. You will work as part of a collaborative and goal-oriented team and be responsible for dealing in a multiple entity/currency and SOX compliant environment, as well as abiding by local accounting/tax rules and regulations.This is a remote role from the rest of the finance team who are located In Australia and Canada and therefore strong communication, self-motivation and time management skills are essential for being successful in this role.Previous experience working with SOX or within a multi-country and multi-currency environment is highly desirable.The Brand Power CompanyThe Brand Power Company, a WPP company, is the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading provider of endorsement advertising platforms across television, digital and social, including Brand Power, Medifacts, and Home Tester Club.   • Onboarding of new suppliers
  • Processing, coding, and entering of invoices
  • Processing staff expense claims
  • Resolving supplier queries and investigating outstanding invoices
  • Performing manual and automatic payment runs
  • Executing bank and supplier statement reconciliation
  • Providing assistance where required in SOX and statutory audits
  • Training of new staff on how to use the company\xe2\x80\x99s PO and expense claim system
Office Admin
  • Assist the global People and Culture team with onboarding of new employees in Malaysia and Singapore
  • Management of office expenses
  • Assist executive team with expense claims
  • Assist with arranging team events
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

  • Post-secondary education in business (accounting preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High levels of attention to detail, initiative, self-motivation, time management and ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an admin or finance position
