Position Summary
Principal Responsibilities
1. Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting and forecasting activities for the Organization.
2. Directs the relevant subordinates in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate controls and services.
3. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
4. Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
5. Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
6. Arranges for audits of company\'s accounts.
7. Prepares reports required by regulatory bodies.
8. Establish relations with banks and other financial institutions.
9. Provides management with timely reviews of organization\'s financial status and progress in its various activities and programs.
10. Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the company\'s annual reports.
11. To ensure the implementation and maintenance, within the department, of an effective management for occupational safety and health consistent with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
Education / Experience Requirements
Qualification :
Degree in Accounting or professional qualification e.g. CA/ACCA/ CIMA/ MICPA/CPA
Must be MIA member Must have hands-on experience in computerized environment
Experience :
Must have at least 10 years post-qualifying experience, part of it gained in multi-national in a senior management position.
