An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at one of the leading manufacturing companies in Malaysia. This company is looking for an individual with seven to eight years of experience in management reports and ensure adherence to financial, accounting and operational procedures.

About the Finance Manager Role:
This individual will play a crucial role in managing the accounts and finance departments with overall responsibility for all accounting, costing and treasury matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the finance department
• Be responsible for accurate and timely submission of financial and management reports and ensure adherence to financial, accounting and operational procedures
• Provide accurate and timely submission of financial and cash flow forecast as well as accuracy on forecasting operational performance
• Be responsible for annual budgeting and preparing of statutory accounts
• Effectively manage working capital especially on management of debtors and inventories
• Review and analyse cost accounting report
• Actively support the Business Unit Head in value creation and cost reduction initiatives
• Recommend and implement internal control and corporate governance processes
• Be responsible for financial performance report, variance analysis and recommendations for process improvements
• Supervise, train and take a leadership role in developing accounting staff
• Ensure adherence to financial, accounting and operational procedures and prompt submission of monthly financial and operational reports to the Head Office
• Design, implement, monitor and review the accounting system and procedures to meet the requirements of both the internal and external auditor
• Liaise with bankers on banking facilities, foreign exchange and money market transactions, letter of credit and other banking matters
• Monitor daily cash flow and project funding requirements for effective control and utilisation of excess funds

To succeed in this Finance Manager role, you must be able to manage the accounting and finance operations and provide timely submission of financial reports.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years of experience in finance and accounts including heading the department in various industries such as manufacturing, retail, auditing and management services in both private and public listed companies
• Preferably a degree in accountancy/professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/ICAEW/MICPA) or equivalent
