About this role:

• Review financials to ensure that monthly results are reported accurately and timely.
• Ensure that Balance Sheet schedules, Intercompany and bank reconciliations are up-to date and accurate through monthly review.
• Review and oversee all monthly/quarterly/yearly global statutory reports.
• Handle the submission of all reports to local authorities (eg: Government Statistics Dept) and licensing bodies (eg: PPM).
• Review Receivables and Payables to ensure timely of collections and payables.
• Oversee company secretarial and banking matters.
• Collaborate and work closely with other departments to ensure that transactions are booked accurately and timely.
• Streamline processes and organize work amongst team members to achieve higher productivity
• Manage Control & Compliance process and ensure strong internal control.
• Manage both onshore and offshore finance team quality of deliverables
• Motivate, lead, coach and develop the team.
• Work with the shared service center to drive consistent compliance to process and work deliverables at the highest quality.
• Oversee annual statutory audit and corporate tax fillings; ensuring compliance and timeliness.
• Support the Direct Supervisor on ad-hoc projects.

Desirable Traits:

• Qualification: Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years as people manager.
• Skills requirement:

• Ability to communicate, work well with others and good organization skills
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, GAAP)
• Someone with an inquisitive mind set and is proactive
• HFM and SAP experience is a plus
• Attention to details
• Language: Good command of English, Bahasa Melayu
