As the Finance Manager at Comfy Chic, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the financial health and integrity of the business. Reporting directly to the directors, you will be responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. Additionally, you will provide strategic financial guidance to support business decision-making and drive profitability. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning. Analyze financial performance, identify key trends, and provide insights to drive business decisions. Monitor and evaluate financial metrics and KPIs to assess business performance and opportunities for improvement. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop comprehensive budgets aligned with strategic objectives. Prepare regular forecasts and variance analysis to track performance against budget and provide actionable recommendations. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other ad hoc reports as required. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to support operational needs and optimize working capital. Implement cash flow forecasting and monitoring processes to mitigate financial risks and optimize liquidity. Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management. Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Financial Strategy and Decision Support: Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to support business initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial implications of strategic decisions and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting or related field. Proven experience in a similar finance role, preferably in the retail or fashion industry. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends. Advanced proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools and ERP systems (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership ability and a proactive, results-oriented mindset. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
