:

  • Financial Operations: Plan, develop, and execute financial processes to ensure effective management and internal control of financial operations. This includes managing accounts payables, accounts receivables, fixed assets, and banking related matters.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other businesses in Southeast Asia, the AMEA Division, and the Group Head Office to ensure alignment and cooperation in financial matters.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support. This involves overseeing day-to-day finance, procurement, and commercial/legal operations.
  • Commercial and Legal Support: Review bid terms and conditions, provide advice on contractual risks and negotiation tactics, and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
  • Project Controlling and Accounting: Lead the project controlling and accounting function for Malaysia entities, including hands-on involvement in certain project controlling and accounting tasks.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a key interface between operations and the finance team, providing guidance and leadership. Support business operations by offering relevant analysis, advice, and recommendations on major commercial decisions, performance evaluation, and business planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Analyze financial data, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and communicate financial results and status to stakeholders regularly.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Participate in the budgeting and business planning process, administer and review financial plans against actual results, and identify and explain variances.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and cash forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Investment Analysis: Provide relevant analysis on investments, commercial initiatives, and business plans to support decision-making.
  • Audit and Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory agents. Ensure timely completion of audits, address issues, and implement recommendations.
  • Transfer Pricing: Apply mandatory transfer pricing policies and guidelines, including providing documentation to align with the Group\'s requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Actively review and recommend measures for continuous improvement in internal controls and business processes.
  • Accounting and Tax Knowledge: Possess excellent accounting knowledge and familiarity with local tax and accounting regulations.
  • Team Development: Collaborate with the Finance Director to support the coaching and professional development of the team.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other assigned ad hoc duties as required by superiors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a minimum Degree in Accountancy, professional qualification like ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum 8 years of relevant experience exposed to construction industry. Previous exposure to project controlling and accounting and shared services is an added advantage.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
