UMAI is a software provider that helps restaurants to save time and increase revenues by automating manual tasks, minimizing last-minute cancellations, upsell customers more effectively and provide more personalized service. The team has extensive experience in building internet companies and has been part of building some of the largest e-commerce ventures in the Asia Pacific Region. Founded by the former MD of Foodpanda SG the largest food delivery service in Singapore, and a member of the founding-team of Nova Founders Capital, a fintech focused Venture Capital firm based out of London & Hong Kong. We are looking for someone who has a \'hustle\' attitude, who is resourceful, and is comfortable with ambiguity and challenges. Tasks Prepare, examine, assess accuracy, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports (SST, Monthly Financial Performance) Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. Responsible for cost controlling, cash management and the monitoring as well as the optimization of KPIs (Budget & Billing) Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition to internal and external stakeholders To develop, implement and update Accounting Policies and Procedures, including the Internal Control or Standard Operation Liaise with auditor and tax agent for effective audit and tax planning functions Manage a centralized finance team Responsible for documentation of accounting records, filings, document compilation and submission Perform any ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned from time to time Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance / Accounting or related field Professional qualifications i.e. ACCA/CPA/MIA/ICAEW & etc. At least 5 years\' experience in Finance, candidates with experience with Big 4 Accounting Firms will be preferred Well versed in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting purposes Able to multitask, independent, and work under pressure with tight deadlines Able to start immediately or within short notice Profound knowledge of Malaysian and Singapore local law (payroll, taxation, business legal obligations etc.) Financial management experience in accounting, the creation and management of budgets and implementation of financial control and structures Benefits What we offer: Immediate responsibility to leave your imprint: Full scope of action within your area and leading the finance team with further growth Challenging and diversified tasks with direct responsibility A dynamic and highly motivated team with flat hierarchies Great working atmosphere in an international environment You will work on the company\'s further improvement and development while working together closely with the CEO - thereby acquiring insight into the entrepreneurial life
