About the Team: The regional finance team of Asia Pacific plays a crucial role in supporting the organization\'s strategic decision-making process by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations. They also collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to achieve common goals, such as increasing revenue, reducing costs, or improving profitability. Overview: The incumbent will be responsible for management of end to end finance activities for entities within Asia Pacific. He/she will manage 2-3 direct reports. Responsibilities:
Preparation of GL and financial close of assigned entities within APAC, including liaising with 3rd party accounting firm where applicable.
Ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions, including intercompany invoices and intercompany funds transactions for assigned APAC entities
Preparation of monthly reconciliation of all relevant Balance Sheet items, including reconciliation of intercompany transactions with North America\xe2\x80\x99s records, for assigned APAC entities and bank reconciliations.
Preparation of detailed schedules for relevant Income Statement items, including schedules required for audit and tax purposes
Preparation of information, including liaising with 3rd party accounting firm where applicable, for the necessary filing of withholding, Corporate Tax and/or VAT tax for assigned APAC entities
Reviewing AP invoice and payment records to ensure invoices are captured in line with the income match to the correct entity, including hands on preparation of such work where necessary.
Ensure correct revenue and cost allocation to Business Units including reconciliation of GL revenue against AR/Sales Support records.
Ensure compliance for Statutory matters such as submission of VAT/GST, withholding taxes, Service Tax, timely submission of estimated chargeable income and Corporate Tax (liaising with tax agents) and ensure compliance filing for AGM (liaising with Company secretary).
Timely submission of monthly financial close in accordance with global deadline for management reporting.
Assist in preparation of AR invoicing and reconciliation reports where required
Filing of records in proper order
Reporting to the APAC Group Controller
Any other adhoc assignment as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 Degree in Finance
Professional Certificate in Accounting or equivalent preferred
Analytical Skills
MS Excel proficient. Able to generate useful reports for management analysis from raw files.
