An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at one of the logistics MNCs based in Petaling Jaya.

About the Finance Manager Role:
As the Finance Manager, you will manage the month-end close process, prepare financial reports and be involved in planning, forecasting and budgeting functions, as well as provide analytical support for key initiatives and ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and monitor achievement of the business\'s financial objectives
• Review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial performances and monitor variances from plan
• Prepare periodic reports such as CAPEX, cash flow and other reports on key financial metrics
• Manage capital spending/approval process for designated locations including preparation of business case analysis for major projects, ROI analysis along with follow up to ensure planned savings materialise
• Review and understand processes and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and enhance processes to assist in controlling costs/results
• Collect, analyse, and interpret data, quantify financial opportunities and risk, and communicate the optimal business decisions/actions
• Develop/maintain key metrics as required
• Lead and/or participate in business initiatives
• Oversee period-end closing activities and provide guidance to team members when necessary
• Monitor weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flow planning and forecast
• Monitor working capital balances for any ageing or risk areas
• Ensure compliance of policies and internal controls, as well as implementation of finance work process improvements
• Support hedging requirements
• Support year-end audits, tax compliance, GST, corporate secretarial and insurance activities
• Support other ad hoc analytics and reporting requirements
• Handle other duties as assigned by the management

To succeed in this Finance Manager role, you must be a high-energy, responsive, detail-oriented, and experienced leader with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, operational, and people skills.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Business/Finance/Accounting/Investment/Economics
• At least 10 years of work experience, with at least three years in a leadership role
• Strong negotiation skills with a good understanding of current market practices
• Team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills, resourceful, and able to deliver results under tight deadlines
• Written and verbal proficiency in English
• Good presentation and writing skills
