An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at one of the leading multinational manufacturing and production companies to be based in their Global Business Centre (shared services environment) in Penang. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager in Singapore, this is a role for a talent who is a leader in their field.

About the Finance Manager Role:
This is a great opportunity for the Finance Manager as this position is an extension of the Singapore-based GBC finance team responsible for and supporting the company\'s strategic initiatives. The key function of this position is managing the day-to-day finance support activities as well as provide financial advice that will enable management team to make informed strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of analysts
• Demonstrate financial management and business understanding, providing insightful business analysis and solutions
• Review and approve monthly journal entries done by the team
• Handle operational issues and provide support to the team
• Review and oversee revenue recognition entries prepared by the team
• Timely and accurately submit management reports, including addressing queries from corporate office and external stakeholders (internal and external)
• Ensure finance related processes, policies, and deliverables, are compliant with SOX baseline and controls and support for SOX compliance and audit queries
• Collaborate and support business initiatives and drive finance related deliverables
• Collaborate and frequently interact with business and operation groups in addition to other functional groups across finance
• Manage external and internal audit requirements
• Collaborate with other function teams in routine/ad hoc tasks and projects
• Support ad hoc tasks and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

To succeed in this Finance Manager job, you will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative and possess a keen understanding of the full spectrum of accounting.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or business management or equivalent education and training
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience including at least two years\' experience in a supervisory or management role within an accounting department.
• Knowledge of US GAPP and SOX requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, as the candidate is required to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Strong reporting skills, displays key information and convey messages clearly, concisely and with impact
• Exposure and basic knowledge of transfer pricing models
• Exposure and basic knowledge of US and China taxation is an advantage
