Finance Transition Lead (shared Services)

Job Description


This role will lead to the establishment of a Finance shared service center consisting of approximately 50 employees to be located in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Strategy
  • Formulate a clear strategy for the successful setup and sequencing of transition tools of the Finance Shared services center aligned with company objectives
  • Further develop a comprehensive project plan outlining key milestone, transition events, timelines and resource requirements
  • Knowledge Capturing & Transfer
  • Identify and manage effective way of capturing knowledge & transferring to SSC team while retaining critical resources.
  • Address critical applications requirements
  • SSC Location and facilities
  • Select ideal SSC office location (including temporary initial office for core project team) and negotiate optimum tenancy contracts
  • Fit out office to suit SSC headcount requirements
  • Talent Attraction and Management
  • Work with BU Finance to identify key talent for retention in BU during transition and take measures to retain for needed period
  • Work with the SSC Head to identify the workforce required including clarity of Roles and Responsibilities and timeline of need.
  • Work with the SSC Head / Managers and recruiters to hire and effectively onboard SSC staff.
  • Develop a comprehensive training program for SSC employees working with BU as needed on passing of knowledge and skills from BU\'s to SSC
  • Implement a change management strategy to facilitate a smooth transitions and minimize resistance or key talent flight
  • Technology Transition / Integration
  • Work with the BU IT to oversee the implementation of the various technology platforms and tools required to support the region from one location.
  • Work closely with SSC IT to ensure seamless connectivity, accessibility and uptime.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Collaborate with the BU\'s to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Communicate project progress, risks and milestones effectively to stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure the SSC complies with regulatory requirements (e.g business registration etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and challenges.

Qualification & Experiences
  • Multiple prior experiences in setting up a finance shared service centers in Malaysia.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Human Resources or any professional field. MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent Project management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to navigate complex organization structures and foster collaboration.
