Miri is infamous for ecotourism and the home of the world\xe2\x80\x99s spectacular natural wonders such as UNESCO World Heritage Stie caves, national parks & diving reefs. YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - Minimum 3 years in a similar capacity - Formal Diploma or a Degree beneficial - Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations - High motivates, enthusiastic and passionate about your chosen career - Hotel pre-opening experience of work in a lifestyle hotel would be an advantage - Proficient in English language and local languages required - Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities - A flair and understanding of trends in F&B, both locally and globally - International experience and working in lifestyle positioned restaurants a plus - You\xe2\x80\x99re a \xe2\x80\x9cfoodie\xe2\x80\x9d and love to go to restaurants, bars, and travel. - Good understanding of cocktail culture and trend, throughout beverage knowledge - You love being on the floor, speaking to and serving guest, and producing creative and engaging guest experience, with a desire to make our venues the \xe2\x80\x9ctalk of the town\xe2\x80\x9d, constantly improving. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You will join the pre-opening team and be instrumental in the setup of your department. This position will lead, guide and operate all aspects of the Food & Beverage Department and teams, excluding culinary. Special emphasis on training, marketing, hand-on team leadership and a focus on guest service. The position will be accountable and responsible for budgeting & forecasting, revenue generation and cost management. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure food and beverage operations of the hotel achievement a high standard of quality, creative food and beverage products & promotions, excellent and memorable guest service, employee satisfaction and achievement of departmental revenue and profit goals.
