This is a well established and leading provider of international freight forwarding and logistics services, operating from network of international agents across Asia, Australia and South Pacific islands, Europe and America. Due to the increasing business volume coming onboard in recent time, they are currently seeking to recruit capable candidates to assume the role of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Administrator to be part of their freight logistics operations teams in Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya.
About the job
The roles available are full time permanent positions based at corporate head office at Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya.
The nature of the positions are fast paced role and applicants will need a high degree accuracy and details and ability to multi-task and requires a good communication skills, especially in English as you will be liaising and communicating with a variety of customers, suppliers and overseas agents.
The roles will require some one confident in managing shipments from origin to destinations, including preparation of quotations and negotiation on freight rates involved. Specifically, the incumbent will be required to attend customers\' needs and inquiries for sea freight services, sourcing for prevailing freight rates from shipping. A large portion of the job will be to update customers on their shipments status.
Specifically, the role will see you responsible for the execution of freight movements for exports and imports sea freight shipments.
Requirements-Candidate profile
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who would like to pursue their career in logistics/freight industry.
Candidates should be in age group 25-40, possess at least a Diploma qualification in Logistics/Shipping Management or Business Studies or any other relevant disciplines.
Ideally candidates with 2-3 years in logistics or freight forwarding industry in similar role would be an asset to this organization. However, candidates who are enthusiastic and with keen interest in this nature of role will also be duly considered.
Due to nature of the job scope entails, we are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, especially English.
