  • Understand and be familiar with the requirement of the Capital Market & Securities Act, the Guidelines on Unit Trust Funds as well as the Trustee Act.
  • To ensure compliance of Funds in accordance to the Deeds, Prospectuses, Operation Manual and other relevant regulatory requirements as well as the international accounting standards.
  • Ensures the daily Funds\xe2\x80\x99 NAV pricing are prepared accurately and timely for publication as well as within the SLA agreed timelines and monthly financial reporting are effectively administered within the stipulated Guidelines and Accounting Standards.
  • Ensures proper oversight in place on outsourced activities
  • Maintains the department\xe2\x80\x99s technical advancement to meet customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs by constantly reviewing workflow processes to identify areas for technical improvement and ensuring that the internal control procedures are adhered to and complied with at all times within the Unit.
  • Risk issues, breaches and any areas of concern are to be reported to the MD in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and their other service providers and also within HSBC.
  • To foster good relations with relevant regulators
  • Provide accurate Management Information Statistics in a timely fashion as agreed on a case by case basis
Requirements
  • At least 5 years in Trustee (Unit Trust Funds) services and/or related capital market industry;
  • At least 5 years in Fund accounting related role and degree related to accounting or finance would be an advantage;
  • Good networking skills with unit trust fund industry participants and regulators would be advantageous;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with all level of employees and external customers;
  • Must have ability to multi-tasks and manage multiple deadlines;
  • Strong problem solving skills coupled with good planning and organizational skills;
  • Self-motivated, performance driven and able to embrace change and work independently.
