Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, HSBC Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team in the Global Custody and Treasury Operations Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.Job PurposeTo manage Trustee\xe2\x80\x99s operation risks by ensuring that the Business Support Section, comprising Securities Settlement, Cash Management/Money Market and Data Management/Corporation Action as well as miscellaneous payments and accounting transactions, carries out their respective roles and duties effectively and in accordance with Group policies and practices and within the required SLA/cut-off time.Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensures the smooth running of the Business Support side of the business by supervising, directing and monitoring the work of subordinates and resolving technical issues.
  • Keep abreast of market developments and industry best practices
  • Manages, maintains and provides added value to relationship
  • Develop and initiate talent management for self and reporting staff
  • Develop and broaden knowledge of HSS Fund Services business needs
  • Maintain HSBC Internal Control Standards, implement & observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operation risk & reputational risk
  • Ensure compliance with all Group standards, FIMs etc.
Requirements
  • A recognised diploma/advance diploma/degree with 5 to 10 years of experience in Banking/Custodian/Customer Service;
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Sound technical knowledge on trust deed, investment, accounting standards and the associated risk/complications relating the Capital Market & Securities Act, Guidelines on Unit Trust Schemes and guidelines on Pension Fund as well as Custodian requirements.
