Working with institutional investors, banks, broker-dealers, asset management companies, insurance companies, pension and sovereign wealth funds, HSBC Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody and direct custody and clearing services.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Trustee team in the role of Trustee & Fiduciary Services Manager.Principal Accountabilities:

  • To manage and contain the legal, regulatory, contractual, reputational and litigation risks of GTFS in Malaysia with the appropriate guidance given by the relevant risk stewards and establishing appropriate procedures to mitigate or control such risks.
  • Keep and maintain healthy client\xe2\x80\x99s relationship by having regular engagement with them. The same applies to regulators
  • Work closely with Non-Financial Risk to address operation risks issues and help management mitigate or avoid such risks where possible.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.8 of the Securities Services FIM.
  • Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
Requirements
  • Degree holder with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the banking, unit trust or legal industry. Highly competitive business that is fully regulated, the greatest challenge is the provision of sound, advice/solutions to new ideas and problems and demands of the clients in a timely fashion.
  • Continuous awareness of technical and commercial implications in the provision of effective and workable recommendations.
  • Keeping up with the development of the capital markets and regulations governing them.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate for preferential terms and conditions.
  • Good networking skills with regulators, legal advisers and external lawyers.
  • Ability to multi tasks and meet multiple deadline.
