Job Description

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader within the chemicals manufacturing industry. Our client focuses on industrial chemicals, providing solutions for projects across different segments, in different regions.

Job summary:
The Successful candidate is to lead, direct, and manage the commercial activities of our client's chemicals solutions arm, so that it achieves its short, mid, and long-term financial and operating objectives as set by the overall corporate business plan. The candidate is to improve organisational efficiencies to achieve the company's KPI.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Based on the Group strategy, execute vision and local strategy to guide the business into the future with profitable and sustainable growth, ensuring that all stated objectives, aims, and targets are met.
  • Ensure transfer of all relevant know-how to the new shareholders related to people and operations of the company.
  • Support regional expansion as per the growth initiatives.
  • Ensure full support in business integration and culture transformation by working with the relevant parties.
  • Oversee all business activities to ensure profitable growth, customer satisfaction and cost-effective management of all resources.
  • Manage business to establish, develop and grow sales in Malaysia and Philippines.
  • Analyse and manage P&L, budget, forecast and sales plan.
  • Monitor operation flow and production output compared to order intake.
  • Manage and develop relationship with agencies to ensure achievement of agreed standards of service.
  • Market intelligence and competitor analysis review.
Key job requirements include:
Must hold University Degree level, major in Marketing, Sales or Commercial, MBA or equivalent
15 years of professional experience in total, with at least 5 to 7 years in General Management / MD / Country Head position.
Entrepreneurial thinking, result driven.
Proven leadership skills with ability to drive challenging
projects and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to implement change management/ business transformation initiatives.
Effective relationship builder, able to solve problems in a creative and structured way.
Ability to work on the strategic level, yet also displays a down to earth attitude and can be hands-on when needed.
Strong in people management and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of both oral and written local languages and English.
