Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic

General Manager (GM)

to lead the overall operations, business development and financial management of GoViral Lab. The GM will be responsible for driving sales growth, building client relationships, ensuring sound financial governance and steering the company's expansion initiatives. This role requires a proven track record in general management, strong business acumen, leadership capabilities and experience in finance and audit.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

Oversee the company's daily operations and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Develop, implement and monitor business strategies, operational plans and performance goals. Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

Sales & Business Development

Lead client acquisition efforts, identify new business opportunities and expand market presence. Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure long-term partnerships. Develop sales strategies and oversee execution of marketing and business development initiatives.

Financial & Risk Management

Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and P&L. Oversee audits, compliance and statutory reporting to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Implement strong internal controls and risk management practices. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO/Board for decision-making.

People & Stakeholder Management

Mentor and guide department heads to achieve individual and organisational goals. Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders. Represent the company in key negotiations, partnerships and stakeholder engagements.

Innovation & Growth

Identify opportunities for business transformation, digital innovation and operational efficiencies. Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive activities to keep the company ahead of the curve. Support the scaling of new business divisions including ECF and Corporate Training.

Others

Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors in line with company objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management or related discipline. Master's degree is an advantage. Minimum 2-5 years of proven experience in a General Manager or senior management role, preferably within consultancy, marketing, tech or related industries. Strong background in finance, accounting, and auditing with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Demonstrated track record in sales and business development, with ability to generate new business and sustain growth. Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset. High level of integrity, resilience and ability to work under pressure. Coding or technical programming knowledge is not required.
