Job Description
The General Manager will develop the operation for the fabrication yard to support the company\'s growth plan.
- Accountable for the overall operations of the fabrication yard which includes managing resources, equipment and facilities to support the fabrication
- Involved in financial planning, budgeting and cost control for the yard operations
- Lead strategic decision making to optimize resources and ensure profitability
- Manage the scheduling of projects, resources and ensure projects are completed within the agreed timelines
- Ensure that all projects meet the quality standards and comply with customer specifications. Implement quality control measures and address and issues that may arise during project execution
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including manpower regulations, work perms and HSE guidelines
- Maintain effective communication with clients and ensure project turnaround times are met.
To excel in this position, the ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering and boast a minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in overseeing the operations of both offshore and onshore oil & gas fabrication yard. An extensive background in the field of offshore and onshore oil & gas fabrication is essential, coupled with a profound comprehension of the operational intricacies required to ensure the punctual completion of projects.
Our client has recently acquired a fabrication yard to support offshore and onshore oil & gas projects and this General Manager will be responsible to turnaround the yard operations and transform it into a highly efficient and profitable facility.
