Job Description

Our client is a new foreign investment in biofuels industry. They are setting up a new production plant in Johor Bahru.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build up local Malaysia production organization; recruit and develop training and certification program for newly joint members to run facility operations
• Perform testing and commissioning program to new-built Malaysia facility from individual equipment testing to overall system testing
• Oversee day-to-day operations, and develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to monitor top-line business targets in safety, operation efficiency, quality assurance, cost optimization and to meet local compliance and regulation
• Develop local operation excellence and build up local technical and operational competence, including operation policies, procedure, standards, guidelines, and specifications with the support from Head Quarter
• Collaborate with feedstock supply, sustainability certification, product sales, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to streamline operation and carry out continuous process improvement to meet strategic target
• Promote companywide strong safety culture, compile to local safety standard and meet Group Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policy
• Build up and sustain local relationship with government authorities, non-government organization and communities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in chemical plant operation especially in biofuels / bioenergy process.
• Hands on experience dealing with local authorities in terms of license application and others.
• Experience in running continuous process, preferably with knowledge in hydro-treatment of hydrocarbon.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and managerial attributes. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
