Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or its equivalent.
Minimum 20 years of working experience particularly in managing major infrastructure projects such as railway/highway/airport/telco/TNB.
Possess PMP or PEPC certification.
Registered with BEM as Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate OR other professional qualifications from recognized bodies will be an added advantage.
Knowledge in consultancy services contracts and construction contracts, procurement and negotiation, cost control, budget monitoring, cash flow planning, contract administration, variations and claims.
Demonstrate contract management ability to achieve specified objectives and have a real initiative and drive to achieve targets on cost, time and quality.
Must have tendering experience and good grasp of market conditions.
Sound working knowledge of cost control and project management
Proven track record on the overall contract management activities / expertise
Positive attitude, strong leadership, result oriented and good interpersonal skills.
Strong written, verbal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Good network in the construction industry.
Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Contracts & Project Management Division.
Work closely and support the Company's business planning to secure new business.
Review and advice on Company's Consultancy Services Agreements/Contracts with Clients.
Review and/or prepare agreements/contracts with Company's sub-consultants or sub-contractors.
Oversee and advise pre and post contract administration matters of all projects undertaken by Company.
Resolve contractual issues pertaining to Company's Consultancy Services Agreements with Clients.
Advice on contractual issues related to Construction Contracts where the Company is appointed as the Supervision Consultant.
Liaise with clients with regards to contract issues of the company projects.
Oversee project tendering, tender evaluation, pricing and cost estimates.
Overall project management of selected consultancy contracts and subcontracts including preparation of progress reports, recommendation of payments, variation order and final account documentation.
Monitor progress, coordinate the planning and follow up the project in close cooperation with project team.
Ensure all progress claims are verified up to the final claim certification.
Monitor construction costs and variation orders are within project budget.
Report regularly to Project Director on status of projects handled.
Any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
