As part of a matrix RDD organisation, and within the Design Engineering function, Graphics and Packaging is large-scale team focussed on the design and development of customer facing graphics and packaging solutions for all Dyson products. Based in our development centres in Malaysia and Philippines, this international team provides the capability to pick up graphics and packing concepts from their UK based counterparts and develop these into designs that can be efficiently manufactured at scale.

About the role

You will work autonomously as part of a multi-disciplined team, Iteratively, to create robust specifications & designs on specification, on time, to cost and quality targets.

The role forms a link between the NPI, Creative, Commercial, RDD Engineering, RDD Operation and Production teams globally - resolving all the short term, day-to-day issues and managing long term project plans.

Ensuring all Graphics & Packaging projects are briefed, planned, managed, and approved following Dyson business processes and requirements.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and flagging the risk or issue found during project delivery including possible contingency plan or action.

To administer the BOM (Bill of Material) management of the Teamcenter PLM system thru Change Request, Deviation Requests, part number /engineering drawing control, ensure all approval sample approved thru DPAP (Dyson Part Approval Process) procedure & new product launch readiness for graphics & packaging material.

Execute all G&P (Graphics & Packaging) CRs (Change Request) authorized as plan as per standard agreed lead time before AFP (Approved for Production) BOM CR (Change Request).

Ensure the related CRs to implement and delivery per committed timeline as requested either in SEA production or market. Key persons of the impact to the CR implementation or delivery lead time.

To be liaison on high profile/urgent project CR or DR (Deviation Request) request within short time frame and able to communicate the progress to CM (Contract Manufacturer) or RDD Project Manager on daily basis or through a scheduled catch up.

About you

Suitable for candidate with experience in Graphics, Packaging, Print production or similar background.

Degree in relevant discipline (Graphics, Design/Engineering) or any equivalent experience preferable.

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point & Word is preferred.

Demonstrable experience in relevant field (e.g., print production, packaging design, engineering, product management) demonstrating a good understanding of New Product Design and Development process, as well as an appreciation of product Graphics & Packaging design and production process.

Excellent communication skills, able to listen, and convey complex issues concisely and accurately. Able to tailor communication to the right audience, share the right information with the right people at the right time, be professional, clear, and concise.

Analytical mind-set, attention to detail and ability to challenge assumptions and convention, always looking for new and better ways of doing things.

Self-motivated and competent, with excellent time management skills.

Managing project progress by constantly tracking deliverables and finding ways to pre-empting and remove obstacles.
