Job Description


Job purposeThe incumbent, working based in Pasir Gudang, Johor will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient human resource generalist function that is aligned with Group\'s strategic goals. The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing Human Resource (HR) strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organisation, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits. The incumbent plan, direct and control the overall management of human resources, in line with the organisation\'s direction.Duties and responsibilities1. Responsible for leading managers of the division and indirectly responsible for allemployees within the division.2. Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support thecompany\'s mission and strategic vision.3. Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall businessoperations objectives.4. Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of eachbusiness unit regarding key organizational and management issues.5. Work with the company\'s executive management team to establish a sound plan ofmanagement succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.6. Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that arecompetitive and cost-effective.7. Overseeing talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and develop a diverse and high-performing workforce.8. Leading performance management and talent development initiatives, providing coaching and support to managers and employees, including providing guidance and support to managers on performance reviews and disciplinary action.9. Designing and executing employee engagement programs, ensuring a positive workenvironment and a strong company culture.10. Initiate, plan, review and implement effective HR policies and procedures to ensure HR practices are constantly benchmarked against best practices implemented and to monitor their compliance and effectiveness.11. Provide HR guidance on grievances and disciplinary issues.12. Drive successor planning initiatives for the HR department, identifying high-potential individuals and implementing development plans to ensure continuity and readiness for key HR roles.13. Provide HR monthly reports to the Board and Management Committee.Requirements and skills1. Candidate must possess bachelor\'s degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Studies/Administration or equivalent.2. Preferably 12 years of working experience in related fields.3. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.4. Possess a high level of integrity, initiative, drive, commitment and a sense of urgency.5. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.7. Excellent leadership and people management skills.8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.9. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
