Job Description

We are currently looking for a passionate Assistant Finance Controller for Growth Emerging Market for our APAC Regional Hub based in Petaling Jaya.

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous support the Area Financial Controller and Area VP Finance in consolidating and analysing the financial performance of Growth Emerging Markets area, which include 10 markets in which GSK operates
• Contribute to the reporting of financial results for the Area under responsibility with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow;
• Perform variance analysis for Balance Sheet, Operating expenses, Margins and Profitability, review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans.
• Participate & contribute into business reviews meetings as appropriate
• Manage Area HQ Operating Expenditure and all reporting requirements (including OE & Headcount Reporting).
• Ensure entities results are fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and any other regulations
• Tightly control transaction activity that operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls
• Delivers insight to the Division in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

• Accounting degree or qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Min. 5 years of experience in Finance controlling / finance business partnering / planning & forecasting
• Experience of working with SOX
• Experience of working with SAP
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Developed analytical skills
• Outside of the box thinking and problem-solving skills
