Job Purpose *



The role is responsible to support the capacity planning and process improvement for Data Centres and server room facilities .



Key Responsibilities *

• Responsible to support the capacity planning of the main data centre, DR and server rooms.
• Support the establishment of short and long term roadmap on data centre facilities planning.
• Assist to ensure CIM, RCSA, MSII etc. are raised for facilities related risks.
• Assist to evaluate new tools/technology innovation to improve operational efficiencies within Data Centre Services unit.
• Assist in establishing RFP for all new implementation / upgrade initiatives related to Data Centre Services.
• Support tender evaluation for all new implementation / upgrade initiatives related to Data Centre Services.
• Responsible for raising Purchase Requisition (PR) and following up on PO issuance for respective units under GIS - Data Centre Services.
• Assist to set the monthly KPI dashboards for Data Centre Services.
• Assist to develop and enhance SOP documentation.
• Assist to review all documentations related to Data Centre Services e.g. SOP, forms, checklist etc. on periodic basis.
• Track all open tickets and RFC related to Data Centre Services and ensure closure within the agreed SLA.
• Assist to provide M&E technical consultancy on new data centre setup and new project initiatives.
• Assist to provide regular trainings/workshops to all units under Data Centre Services on process improvement plans.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and adhere to CIMB standards.
• Ensure that all related regulations are adhere to as stipulated by the relevant authorities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for the department.
• Mentor junior team members, where required.
• Ensure regulatory expectations and industry standards are met across strategic IT infrastructure.
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by top management.
  

Job Specification *



Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.)

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology / Engineering /

Computer Science



Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements

• Certification in Data Centre related courses (e.g. CDCP , ITIL, Uptime Institute related Certification)
  

Relevant Work Experience

• At least 3 years experience in Data Centre Operations / Critical Facilities Management
• Strong track record managing Facilities for Data Centre

• Demonstrated competence in data centre cooling, power and data communications fundamentals.
• Knowledge in data center documentation tools (e.g. rack mapping)
• Knowledge in audit and compliance.
• Knowledge in using Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio etc.
