For a sneak peek into life at allnex, don\xe2\x80\x99t miss our !Position overviewallnex invites you to join our dynamic PSRA team in position of Hazard Communication Specialist in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia to provide technical expertise to allnex personnel and customers in the areas of worldwide hazard communication and transportation requirements. You will responsible for providing safety data sheets and labels to allnex business units and plants in a timely and cost efficient manner. You are also responsible for providing worldwide transportation classification for allnex materials and ensuring that this information is obtained and understood by the order processing, manufacturing, shipping and marketing functions of allnex.If you are ready to play a crucial role in maintaining the company\'s reputation for delivering safe and reliable products to customers, this role is for you!Responsibilities

• Conduct hazard assessment (health, physical, and environmental hazards) according to GHS (Globally Harmonized System)
• Be responsible for classifying products in accordance with world-wide regulations including transportation of Dangerous Goods, Chemical Inventories, Commerce Control classifications like customs tariff codes, chemical weapons, drug precursors etc.
• Promote the safe and responsible use of allnex products by preparing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product regulatory labeling for all regions.
• Provide technical expertise and support to allnex personnel and customers in the areas of hazard and global regulatory requirements for our products, R&D/TS&D samples and purchased raw materials.
• Help support and maintain the central Product Stewardship database system (Wercs).
• Work with Plant and R&D product stewards to process, review, and approve their new product requests.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemistry, Toxicology or Environmental Science is preferred.
• 3 years experience in product safety, or a related field from chemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of GHS, SDS and product safety regulations.
• Strong exposure in hazard assessment, label authoring or product regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using SDS authoring tools and software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the use of database systems is crucial.
• Good verbal and written English skills.
