We are looking for a creative pastry chef to be responsible for crafting delicious desserts and confectionery, designing seasonal menus, and developing new recipes for the pastry section of our kitchen. You should be passionate about baking and be inspired to create masterpieces that go beyond our customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations. To be successful in this role you must be well-versed in the culinary arts and adhere to strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Pastry Chef Responsibilities: \xef\x83\x98 Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the executive and sous chefs to ensure a successful working environment. \xef\x83\x98 Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment. \xef\x83\x98 Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe. \xef\x83\x98 Developing new recipes for seasonal menus. \xef\x83\x98 Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation. \xef\x83\x98 Meeting with customers to discuss details and planning of custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings. \xef\x83\x98 Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients. \xef\x83\x98 Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget. \xef\x83\x98 Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations. \xef\x83\x98 Supervising and training staff members, when needed. Pastry Chef Requirements: \xef\x83\x98 Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field. \xef\x83\x98 5 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef. \xef\x83\x98 Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process. \xef\x83\x98 Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts. \xef\x83\x98 Keen attention to detail. \xef\x83\x98 In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition. \xef\x83\x98 Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
Lisette\xe2\x80\x99s Caf\xc3\xa9 and Bakery\xe2\x80\x99s Sunday brunch is a fresh, quaint and oh so aesthetically pleasing place to enjoy good food, coffee and company. Located on a small residential street in Bangsar, Lisette\xe2\x80\x99s Caf\xc3\xa9 and Bakery is immediately charming. The caf\xc3\xa9 is in the style of a renovated house, giving it a cozy, relaxing atmosphere right off the bat. Once inside the restaurant, there are large windows both in the front and back making the inside feel alive, green and bright. Little touches like yellow flowers on every table and blue accents on all the furniture go a long way in making this place feel both totally Insta-worthy and like you are right at home.
