As the Regional Head of Corporate Security, your tasks will include managing Corporate Security program, policies, standards, procedures, and controls, contributing or leading security or intelligence related initiatives in the region or globally, and establishing key performance indicators. What\'s more, you\'ll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the Team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance, operational resilience and corporate security as well as defining and advancing the company\'s security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, Corporate Security focuses on a proactive and real-time management of security risks in the physical world. We\'re looking for a highly experienced professional who\'ll foster, maintain, and bolster Swiss Re\'s security presence in the Asia Pacific region.
About the Role

  • Implement, coordinate, and oversee Corporate Security program, projects, policies, standards, procedures, and controls and manage the team\'s operations across the region
  • Respond to/support incident management teams (IMTs) during an incident/event that affects Swiss Re employees and/or assets
  • Oversee unplanned security operations, events, or special activities
  • Assist the Security Team in company-wide initiatives and confidential projects
  • Intelligence: Supporting Corporate Security\'s Protective Intelligence team in regional intelligence collection and analysis \xe2\x80\x93 to identify and anticipate threats/risks and mitigate or reduce them towards Swiss Re travellers, employees, physical assets, reputation, or overall operations
  • Travel Security: Managing the regional travel security program by risk-assessing travel itineraries, delivering pre-deployment briefings, monitoring travellers and providing on-call assistance as required
  • Executive Protection: Designing risk-based protection assessment and implementing measures as well as managing tasks for senior personnel traveling within the region (\xe2\x80\x9chigh-risk\xe2\x80\x9d events and meetings included)
  • Location support BCPs: Support maintenance & testing of location support business continuity plans as well as executing independent annual review of support plans.
  • Planning: Within the Swiss Re Operational Resilience framework, you will have the responsibility for regional corporate security resilience, Business Continuity Management (BCM) location support plans and design and implementation of Location Resilience Plans/Controls
  • Performance: Comprehending the regional security situation/landscape and establishing appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) in support of the operational threat dashboard
  • Controls: Continuously assessing control performance and proposing optimisation based on threat and risk assessment
  • Education & Training: Fostering a security culture by educating employees and raising awareness across the region. You will use all opportunities to promote the function and share information across the region through collaborating with other functions within & outside of CSO
  • Cooperation & Collaboration: Establishing cross-functional collaboration with local, regional, headquarter-based teams and functions as liaison for regional business leaders \xe2\x80\x93 including CRES, Legal, Compliance and Communications to execute globally focused projects
  • Representation: You will represent Corporate Security in the region at leadership level by communicating team goals, wins and opportunities to minimise risks in the physical world for Swiss Re
  • Networking: Developing and maintaining security-relevant networks including in-country law enforcement agencies, government intelligence services, private security companies, relevant regional security organisations including OSAC Country Councils, the Regional Security Officers, ASIS etc.

About You
  • 10+ years\' experience working in regional security, corporate security, or intelligence department \xe2\x80\x93 ideally within a multinational financial services organisation or regulated industry
  • University degree or international equivalent (Masters preferred) in a related field of study
  • Required strong proficiency in English language, oral and written
  • Passion for security \xe2\x80\x93 together with excellent presentation, writing, communication and consensus-building skills
  • Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude in employing security technologies including emergency communications, business continuity software and travel tracking solutions
  • Team player, agile mindset, industry influencer and security evangelist curious about learning to operate in a converged security environment
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and experience working in the geographical area of assignment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels
  • Willingness to operate in and out of routine working hours in response to regional incidents affecting Swiss Re
  • One local regional language is desirable \xe2\x80\x93 e.g., Chinese or Japanese
  • Professional certification such as CPP, PSP, CBCI, AMBCI
