Job Responsibilities:

Financial Controller * Lead and direct the management and development of FA&R to provide all finance technical expertise and service supports in the most efficient and effective manner and continuously improve the performance quality in all aspects of the function.

• Provide overall leadership of the day-to-day financial and control operations of the Group including financial reporting, accounting, operation, financial policy and procedures development, and tax.
• Ensure strong accounting and reporting throughout the group, including overseeing and monitoring effective control environment and providing strategic information and advice to the management team.
• Oversee all accounting system, procedures and financial transactions used by the Group
• Provide overall leadership in preparing annual financial statements for the subsidiaries, tax returns, BNM regulatory reports and any other required regulatory returns.
• Overseeing internal and external audit process and effectively manage the team across multiple functions where applicable.
• Lead the design, development, harmonization and oversight of governance and key policies, procedures, internal controls and technology solutions and ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• Drive strategic process and systems enhancements through targeted initiatives for greater efficiency, effectiveness, agility and readiness to respond to the needs of the business and organisation.
• Direct and oversee to ensure risk management and internal controls are adequate and in compliance with applicable regulatory and accounting requirements and CIMB Group policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• ACCA/ MICPA/ CPA/ ICAEW/ MIA
• Minimum 15 years of experience in finance/ controllership/ FA&R leadership in large or established service-based organisation, financial institution or public accounting firm
• Seasoned Finance professional with broad knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements and regulatory framework in financial services industry
• Significant management experience in defining and driving strategy and change management with demonstrable ability to influence and shape favourable business outcomes
