Job Description


We are looking for an outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented person with strong communication skills to join us as a Head of BM Content. As part of INFLUASIA\'s team, you will represent and front the brand\'s publicity efforts within Malaysia - including media and influencer relations, developing and distributing social media articles and video releases, and assisting with the development, as well as execution of activities to ensure sustained media coverage throughout the year. The role will be based in KL Eco City and will report to both the Head of BM Content. Responsibilities of the Head of BM Content include but are not limited to: General: Assist with daily media monitoring and monthly reporting of coverage Plan, coordinate, and lead editorial operations (for Lobak Merah and potentially our other owned portals) Implement new initiatives that\'ll strengthen Lobak Merah\'s article quality and brand presence overall. Conduct secondary research, guidance, and clear directions to the team, leading the portal\'s growth. Upkeeping of journalist records and media interactions on the CRM database Support the draft of written material intended to represent the brand\'s key messaging and point of view Oversees the day-to-day workflows for digital and print Analytical content delivery; maintains editorial product quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost management across the team Collaborates with commercial stakeholders to create new global Analytical content opportunities to drive the customer experience forward; liaises regularly with in-market teams to ensure content meets customer needs. Grow our subscriber base by providing them with regular, helpful content that\'s aligned with their needs and interests. Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence. Content Creation and Curation: Oversee the development of high-quality, engaging, and relevant content for various digital platforms, including social media, blogs, videos, podcasts, webinars, and newsletters. Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone, voice, and messaging. Lead, plan, and execute sponsored content campaigns by clients to effectively deliver quality content and results that meet or exceed their expectations. Coach and supervise editorial personnel Strategize and explore new initiatives to further grow our audience and improve engagement through content. Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience. Be sharp and ever-ready to write and publish potentially trending stories as they happen. Source for stories through social media, other news portals, or forums. Stories can also be from personal experience, a public opinion, a status update, or uniquely written (based on references). Perform copywriting tasks whenever required. Source or create relevant images to be included within articles and ensure featured images are captivating enough to capture the audience\'s attention. Revise and update written or published content when necessary. Collaborate and assist in the ideation, execution, and participation of our video production. Actively coordinate and participate in discussions and meetings with the team. Social Media Strategy and Management: Manage and grow the company\'s presence on major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging social media technologies, adapting strategies to capitalize on new opportunities. Assist with the development of editorial materials such as FB, TikTok, Instagram, & and YouTube releases and provide clear guidance to the team Work closely with the wider to create campaign narratives that span across multiple channels in Malaysia Brand Reputation Management: Proactively monitor and safeguard the company\'s brand reputation by identifying potential issues, addressing them promptly, and implementing strategies to mitigate reputational risks. Collaborate with relevant departments to maintain a cohesive and positive brand image. Social Media Ownership: Take ownership of the entire social media management across all Capital A businesses, to ensure consistency and effectiveness in messaging and engagement. Be updated with the latest and trending news locally and internationally. Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof-check written material, final draft of content and edit copy to ensure fitness for publishing. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively across business units to deliver clear social media strategies that align with stakeholders\' goals. Collaborate closely with upper management to provide clarity of social media insights, direction, objectives, and strategy. Requirements Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma, preferably in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Business, Marketing or any communications-related field 7-10 years of working experience in a related field Strong command of BM Language (spoken and written) Skills/Experience Preferred: Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Good at making presentation decks Highly motivated with interest in the art of reputation management and crafting narratives to persuade public opinion Detail-oriented and data-driven individual keen to work in one of Malaysia\'s fastest-growing consumer electronic brands Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative team player in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment Understanding of today\'s media and influencer landscape Comfortable to interact and converse on the phone and in-person Benefits Annual outpatient benefit (Includes dental and optical benefits) Birthday leave Annual increment Performance bonus
